Grit Richter (born 1977 in Dresden, Germany) is a german artist. She studied at the University of Fine Arts Dresden as well as the Academy of Fine Arts Hamburg, where she graduated in the year 2007 as student of Prof. Norbert Schwontkowski. She creates large format canvas paintings as well as extensive installations combining wall and canvas paintings, sculptures and fabric elements. An important source of inspiration for Grit Richter is experimental electronic music, which influences her to this day.
Grit Richter currently lives and works in Hamburg.
