Günther Förg (* 1952 in Füssen/Germany, † 2013 in Freiburg/Germany), german painter, sculptor and photo artist. He studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the class of Karl Fred Dahmen from 1973 to 1979. He had his first exhibition in the gallery Rüdiger Schöttle in Munich in 1980. In 1992 Förg showed works at the documenta IX. From 1992 to 1999 he taught at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. He was awarded with the Wolfgang-Hahn-Award in 1996. From 1999 he was professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich. The Sinclair-Haus in Bad Homburg showed 100 works of Förg in 2010.
